I found it!

We recently moved back home...to NEBRASKA!

It's a great start for us.  Right now I'm looking for work which is frustrating.  I don't like to sit at home and not feel needed.  I really want to find a job.  I do have an interview next week at a retail establishment.

We did however find a gym that we've joined.  It's amazing!  We have the usual stuff a gym has and it also has a swimming pool, hot tub, and water track.  I can't wait to start training for our half marathon and working out.  I need to get this body in better shape for so many reasons.

We also have friends that belong to the same gym so that's really going to help keep us motivated.  I do need to work at getting some photos taken of me so that I can have comparison photos as I make this journey to a healthier me.

Here's to making a lot of changes in all aspects of life.

Inside the start...

I'm trying to figure out where I should start with this blog.

My name is Colleen and I'm a  33 year old female, 5'3, and unsure of my actual weight.  I know I'm going to be very unhappy the first time I get on the scale.  I'm engaged to be married on 12/12/12 @ 12 noon in Vegas!  I'm looking to get in shape not just for wedding dress shopping but to be healthy and enjoy lots of new experiences with my soon to be husband.  Ken (my fiance) is 44 and also going to work out with me as to better his health as well.

We've registered for the Lincoln Marathon.  I did the half marathon in 2010 and finished in 3 hours and 45 minutes and that was with very little training.  We're looking to get started on our half marathon training next month.  This will be his first one...EVER!

Our goal in 2013 is to do the Disney Coast to Coast Half Marathon.  If you want to know more you should check out www.rundisney.com

We are currently living with family that we moved 1200 miles away to help.  When we arrived we found out that in fact our help was not needed.  So we're moving back (home) and looking forward to starting off with a fresh start and looking to better our health.

This is my first time blogging so I'm looking to find this to be helpful for me and for my readers.
